salamz!
I don't know if brother Mystic reads Arabic.
Insha-Allah, I'll do my best to give some basic info about Imam Hadi.
He is Abul-Hussein Yahya bin al-Hussein bin Qasim bin Ibrahim bin Ismail bin Ibrahim bin Hassan bin Hassan bin ali bin Abi Talib. He is also known as Imam al-Hadi ila al-Haqq. (Peace be upon them all!)
His mother is Umm Hassan bint al-Hassan bin Muhammad bin Suleiman bin Dawud bin Hassan bin Hassan bin Ali bin Abi Talib. (Peace be upon them all!)
He was born in Madinah in the year 245 A.H. And I believe he was named "Yahya" by his grandfather, Imam ar-Rassi Qasim bin Ibrahim.
He was known for his bravery, courage, astute knowledge, and nobility. He was also an ascetic and pious person.
There are also some miracles that are ascribed to him.
He was called to Yemen to settle some tribal problems and the people there decided to declare him the Imam of Yemen. That is why out of the many Zaydi Imams, many Yemenis respect him the most. He stayed in Yemen and established an imamate there that last up until the 20th century.
Similiar to his grandfather, Imam Rassi, he was a very prolific writer who wrote works on theology (kalaam), fiqh, tafsir, language, history, dua, and poetry. He also issued fatwas and answered many questions that was sent to him by people.
He died a little bit before 300 A.H. Many people report that there is a beautiful fragrance that comes from his grave to this day!
May Allah bless him!
Hope this helps!
